It has been a pleasure working with my patients at Mountain Valleys Health Centers. I have enjoyed my time here with you all and thought I would offer some tips to continuing your care after my absence.
If you are looking for prescription refills, remember it is necessary to establish care with a new provider. For those patients who are taking chronic narcotic prescriptions please have patience. These medications are in a special class and many providers are not comfortable prescribing these medications. On top of this the DEA has challenged family practice providers with new regulations and guidelines requiring reassessment of each patients need for therapy. These new stipulations are to protect you the patient from inadvertent overdose and death.
If you have outstanding orders, these will be followed up by other MVHC Providers. Remember if you do not hear back on a test that was completed, be sure to give our office a call.
Thank you for choosing me to be your family practice physician, I wish you all the best.
MVHC recently hosted a homeless outreach on October 8, 2016 in Burney, CA. MVHC was able to provide meals, showers, health screening, flu shots, blood draws, clothing, blankets, shoes and care for a number of local homeless individuals. Our staff was joined by a number of partners, including Mayers Memorial Hospital, Lassen County Public Health, The Pit River Casino, Burney Fabricare, Hill Country Clinic’s Circle of Friends as well as generous donations from community members and the MVHC staff. Our staff was impressed by the gratefulness and humility of those that we were able to help.

Mountain Valleys Health Centers announced in May that it had acquired Dr. Trish Van Dyke’s Dental Office. The practice has remained open and continuing seeing patients since acquiring. However, due to mandatory building updates the office will close on July 20th and reopen around September as a fully operational Mountain Valleys dental office. Patients who are currently being seen at the Burney site will be seen at the MVHC Bieber dental site in the interim.
“We remain dedicated to the work Dr. Van Dyke has done and we are committed to making this transition as streamlined as possible while creating the best patient experience,” said Dave Jones, Mountain Valleys Health Centers CEO.
