Executive Board of Directors, Charlene Burgi 

Charlene Burgi moved to Big Valley after retirement in 2011. She was born and raised in Marin County, California.  While she attained her degree in Landscape Architecture, her credentials further included Rainwater Catchment Design, Certified Arborist, and UC Master Gardener in the high elevations of Lassen County, California. She also helped write and teach the Qualified Water Efficient Landscape (QWEL) program that is taught throughout multiple states. She retired from Marin Municipal Water District as a Water Conservation Supervisor and known for the weekly landscape blogs she wrote. She taught Irrigation Design at the College of Marin as well working with CDF teaching landscape fire safety to home owners.

 

Charlene is the mother of two children, nine grandchildren, and three great granddaughters, Charlene’s joy is found with her family and caring for her property and animals in Adin.
